Community is our middle name for a very special reason: Woodlands Community Temple is a sharing, giving, supportive community where singles, couples, and families come to worship, celebrate, learn, and advocate. We embrace tikkun olam, helping God fix this world, and we emphasize the principle of tzedakah as a Jewish obligation. At Woodlands, we are committed to social justice, to advocacy, and to maintaining connections with the Jewish and secular world beyond our sanctuary. We welcome all who wish to participate in Jewish life, regardless of age, sexual orientation, or financial means.
In this section you can learn about both our professional staff and our lay leadership, link to the new and exciting webpage our youth groups and youth director maintain, discover Woodlands' ongoing involvement with Israel, and find out how to join Woodlands, how to donate to Woodlands, and how to get involved in a wide range of temple activities. In the About Woodlands pages you can read a detailed history of the temple since its founding in 1966, get directions to the temple from all points on the map, tour our Judaica shop, and much, much more.
